Independent Member for Curtin Kate Chaney MP has congratulated her crossbench colleagues on the launch of their new political party.

Warringah MP Zali Steggall MP and Wentworth MP Allegra Spender MP announced the formation of Community Strong Alliance in Australian Parliament House today.

“I wish my crossbench colleagues all the best with the launch of Community Strong Alliance,” Ms Chaney said.

“I know they will continue to contribute positively to our democracy, albeit through a different approach.

“I will continue to work collaboratively with Zali and Allegra to develop and promote long-term policy solutions, as I do with other colleagues.

“I intend to keep representing the people of Curtin as a Community Independent, listening and responding to their needs and concerns.

“I remain committed to contributing constructively to the Australian political landscape, as more voters become disillusioned with the major parties. I look forward to seeing Community Strong Alliance provide Australians with another option at the ballot box.”
