The new Support at Home program replaced the Home Care Packages Program on 1 November 2025.

The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) will transition to the new program no earlier than 1 July 2027.

Assessment for all aged care services is now done through a single assessment pathway, and the Government has increased the contribution some older Australians will make to the cost of their care.

Since being elected, Kate and her team have received many calls for help from older constituents and their families about the difficulties they have in navigating and seeking help from Federal government departments.
