Join me for a community workshop to inform work I’m doing on WA’s economic future. No prior knowledge required — just bring your views.
WA’s resources sector is the envy of the nation. Our ‘dig and ship’ economy has served us well, providing wealth and stability for the last few decades. But it’s not future-proof. Climate change and the global energy transition, rising international conflict and supply chain shocks, and declining prosperity at home, mean we cannot rely on ‘more of the same’ to provide future resilience and prosperity.
The good news is that we can address all three by pursing decarbonisation and economic diversification. WA's mineral wealth, renewable energy potential, and strategic location put us in an extraordinary position to lead that transition, not just follow it.
I want to hear your priorities and concerns for our economic future.
